The hamlets of Kinlochmore, Inverness-shire and Kinlochbeg, Argyll were joined together as Kinlochleven, Argyll with the coming of the Aluminium Smelter.

The original church, a wooden structure, was erected in 1908 on the hillside above Kinlochbeg.  When the church came into a state of disrepair a new church was built in Kinlochmore and was dedicated in 1954 and consecrated in 1968.
